Test #3 - Did this get sent out to group email list? Tyler should get it too...

We are excited to be heading to the Japan Kobe Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

We will attend a week at the Provo MTC starting July 28, and then fly to Japan on August 3rd.  We will be serving with the Young Single Adults in the Wakayama area.

We were set apart this morning at 9 am by President Hair who gave us wonderful blessings and promises as we serve.  Tyler, Allae, Rex, Emily, Julia, Bryant and Ron's mom and dad came with Jared and Mallory joining on a zoom call.

The ward asked for a photo of us for a missionary plaque so Rex took this picture - officially set apart missionary couple ready to go to work!

Some had a difficult time accessing the zoom link for the sacrament meeting talks, so if you couldn't get that to work, here is an audio recording of the talks.  The highlight occurs in between our two talks when Bryant's son Cohen impromptu sang a solo of This Little Light of Mine - I'm gonna Let it Shine, while a group of 10 or so kids (including 5 grand kids) waited to begin singing the planned song... It was adorable and hilarious at the same time!

Our neighbors, the Stokers along with Carli Barrus hosted a lunch for the family- with everything going on that was super helpful and nice!  They made car air fresheners for everyone that came, with photoshopped pictures of us from "a few years earlier..."  What a funny "omiage"!  And really just grateful to so many friends and family who have supported and helped us get to this point.

Tomorrow we head to the MTC in Provo - we've been told to arrive at 9:42 am.  Geralee says it reminds her of a tee time LOL.  Either way, Called to Serve or Tee-Time, we will be there, and be ready to start! We aren't quite sure of what to expect, but we know we will love it.  If you are interested, follow along our journey with us from our newsletter here at Blogger.com!  We aren't quite sure how all this works, but we'll figure it out as we go.

If you subscribe you'll get notifications of any new posts.  Or just send us a text or email and we will add you to that list for you.  Thanks again, for all your love and support!
